Terms of Use

“Motorhome” refers to the Bailey Autograph Approach 745 it also refers to everything within and on the said vehicle.

Deposit: All bookings require a non-refundable £300 deposit this is to secure your dates.  When this has been received your booking is confirmed and the rest of the balance is due 6 weeks prior to your departure.

Cancellation of your booking will occur if the balance of payment is not received before the 6 weeks prior to departure and your deposit is forfeit. Payment by bank transfer for any balance.

Licence Check: Before we can hire out our motorhome to you we have to do a driving licence check. To do this we ask you 3 weeks before your departure to receive a check code which you can then send to us. To do this you must go to https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence  and enter your driving licence details, your National Insurance Number and your Post Code. Please can you then share the check code with us which we will ask you to email to us. Please enter the details and send the code for each person you expect to be driving our motorhome.

Drivers: To drive a motorhome of the size we have you will need to demonstrate that you are a regular and confident driver. At the time of booking we will require details of all driving licence(s) to ensure compliance. If drivers do not meet our requirements you will not be able to take our motorhome.  Both drivers need to be present at to hand over the vehicle.  You should bring your actual paperwork with you at collection. Age limits: You must between the ages of 25-79 to drive our motorhome, with a minimum of 2 years of holding a valid category B driving licence to drive a vehicle up to 3,500kg.Maximum Penalty Points: 6 points on your licence. Persons who have had their insurance declined and/or renewal refused and/or special insurance terms imposed as a result of claims experience and/or have had their insurance or cover cancelled by any motor insurer.

  • Maximum of 2 drivers per booking.
  • 2 forms of identification must be obtained for each driver. The following documentation is acceptable proof of address
  • Copies, both front and back of the driving licence.
  • Licence Check Code sent to us for each driver- DVLA online Licence Check must be carried out and a copy retained either digitally or a hard copy is retained by us.
  • One utility bill/statement Council Tax bill/statement TV/Internet/Landline/Telephone bill and also
  • Bank statement Credit Card Statement Mortgage Statement
  • The proofs of address provided must be dated within 90 days of the hire date and have the same address on the driving licence


For Non-UK licence holders/residents, two forms of ID with matching addresses must be obtained as above, plus copies of the licence both front and back and one other form of photographic ID must be retained either digitally or a hard copy.

Cancellation: Once the balance payment has been made should you decide to cancel your holiday, if we manage to re-hire the motorhome again we will refund your balance payment. If we do not manage to do this in time we reserve the right to keep 50% of your total hire charge if you cancel between 4-6 weeks prior, or 100% if you cancel less than 4 weeks prior.

Security Deposit: We require a £1000 refundable security deposit payable for UK hires. This is paid by bank transfer  at the latest 10 days prior to departure but it can also be paid during the final balance payment Bank Transfer. We hold this in case costs arise from accident, damage, parking/penalty notices, or violation of these terms and conditions. On taking our motorhome you give us authorisation to deduct any amount from the security deposit due to us. The balance of the security deposit will be refunded back to you within 10 working days of our motorhome being returned to us as long as there are no outstanding insurance claims.  The security deposit will not be refunded immediately after the return of the motorhome because of our need to check the vehicle and any road offences. We reserve the right to recover from your security deposit all amounts due to us.

Motorhome Title: The motorhome belongs to us, it is ours. We retain the title of ownership throughout your holiday. You are not permitted to sell, rent out, lend or sub-let to anyone during your time with it. If you are not following the terms and condition here we reserve the right to terminate our agreement and will collect the motorhome with no refund due to you.

Collection and Return: Our address is: provided NG2 5AA  Pickup and Return Times: Pick up the motorhome at 4-7 pm. Return by  12 MD.  Please ask us about our night before pick up which is sometimes available and for a small fee.

On Collection: Allow for a one hour hand-over in which we will check your previously supplied identification and insurance and teach you what you need to know about the motorhome. Both driver(s) must be present at the collection and you must bring your driving licence(s)/passports; please also bring the originals of ID. You will receive our motorhome in working order, clean, a full tank of diesel, and bottled gas with one spare gas. 

On Return: Please return the motorhome on time and allow yourself 30 minutes for the handover. Please be kind and treat our motorhome as you would your own we know breakages happen and we would like to be told about them rather than find them.  In this case as you tell us things like plates etc are not charged, at times we will not charge for breakages on the vehicle too but we typically will obtain a quote from out caravan engineer. Please return the motorhome to us undamaged, with a full tank of diesel, an emptied waste/grey water tank, flushed toilet cassette and the interior hygienically clean and tidy. We will charge you for transgressions against these terms, if we would have to rectify these problems we will take a £40 fee for each. If you do not return with a full tank of diesel we will take the amount from your security deposit along with a £75 fee.

Late Return: If you are going to be late you must inform us straight away using this telephone number: 07788674464. We will charge you £100 per hour as a late return fee which can be used to cover staff cleaning costs already booked and held and compensate future holiday makers who are made to wait because for our motorhome. 

Motorhome Equipment: Everything on the motorhome will be in full working order, during the collection process we will teach you how it all works and how to operate it. If anything in or on the motorhome fails please do not hesitate to call us and we will try our best to get everything in working order, although this may not be possible in all circumstances.

Use of Our Motorhome: We ask that your treat the motorhome with respect and drive it cautiously and safely while adhering to the law. Only the agreed drivers may operate it and cannot be driven under the use of drugs or alcohol. The ignition key should never be left on board while the motorhome is unoccupied.

Only drive on roads and on areas indicated by organisers in the case of festivals and events. We include a snooper on all rentals please look after this as it is a value of £400 if it is lost/stolen.  Do not get stuck in soft ground. You will be responsible for towing/recovery costs.  We will show you the tow cable (under passenger seat) and access point front under light - the base of the vehicle can be destroyed if tow is not attached to correct point.  In the event of mechanical breakdown please call the breakdown recovery service number in your hand book and let us know what has happened after you have told the breakdown service.  If you have run down the battery the recovery does not cover this, we advise you strongly not to use the vehicle battery. You have 2 leisure batteries (standard is 1) You are responsible for the costs of tyres during the rental period.

Our motorhome runs on diesel if you accidentally use the wrong fuel at the station DO NOT start the engine as this will incur serious damage. You will be responsible for any charges to clean the fuel out of the fuel tank.

Smoking: Our motorhome is strictly non-smoking.

Pets: Up to 2 dogs are allowed in our motorhome. If there is additional damage due to your pet we reserve the right for additional valeting costs.

We do not cover: Persons who are engaged wholly or partly in Professional Entertainment or Professional Sportsperson, Jockeys and persons connected with Racing, Gaming industry or press of any sort. Persons who, whilst driving have been involved in 1 fault or accident in the past three years. Foreign Service Personnel other than persons holding a full UK/EU licence for 2 years or more.

Drivers are personally liable for all legal penalties. Parking tickets, congestion charges, speeding fines. Insurance: Our motorhome has full comprehensive insurance for damage to our motorhome. Only drivers named on the rental agreement are insured to drive. Our insurance includes breakdown cover. Call this number:  

Accidents/Damage: You will have to pay the excess of £1000 for any insurance claim should you be held responsible for the accident/damage. In cases of disputed responsibility, you will have to pay the £1000 excess until the claim is settled and if appropriate some or all of the excess may then be refunded. What to do if an accident or damage to the motorhome occurs: TELL US IMMEDIATELY. Please do not delay as this may affect our insurance claim. Get the names, addresses and telephone numbers of the third parties; their insurers and any witnesses and report to the police. Please get photographic evidence of the incident, the motorhome and the third party. Complete an accident claim form from the vehicle on-board guide. Please do not make any admission of liability to other parties or agree to settlement offers. Assist us in handling any claim arising from any incident. No Security Deposit or insurance excess will be refunded until any claim is settled.

Indemnity: You agree to release us from any liability, regardless of who is at fault, for any loss of damage incurred by you including: Any loss or damage caused by breakdown, mechanical defect, accident or our motorhome being unsuitable for your purpose. Any loss or damage to your personal property left in or on our motorhome. You are welcome to leave one vehicle at our premises for the duration of your holiday but we are not responsible for either it or any contents. You agree to indemnify us against any claims, demands and expenses (including legal costs) incurred during your use and/or possession of our motorhome. Demurrage: (Costs/losses due to unserviceability) If, during your hire period, the motorhome is rendered unserviceable (resulting in the cancellation of subsequent bookings) we reserve the right to charge you for losses or costs incurred. Force Majeure (Unforeseeable Circumstances): We will make every effort to ensure that our motorhome is available for you at the correct time. If, due to circumstances beyond our control, this not possible then our liability is limited to refunding you total hire charge only. Please ensure that you take out your own holiday insurance policy covering losses due to cancellation and loss of your personal possessions. If you have fully read and accept the above terms and conditions along with the rental agreement please sign that you agree. This will then be legally binding.

Lockdown Guarantee: If England were to go into National Lockdown again, we would have to rearrange your booking if you have one. You can choose one of two options, to rebook your holiday to another date in which there is no lockdown. Europe: You are able to travel to Europe but we need to notify the insurer and the vehicle tracking company. Mileage: You can travel 100 miles per day with a small charge for excess miles.

Please note insurer requirements if you do not fall into the standard category:;  The Insured Vehicle shall not be let out on hire to or be driven by: - a) Hirers under 25 or over 79 years of age unless otherwise agreed by the Insurer  c) Hirers aged 21 to 22 unless a full valid United Kingdom or EU driving licence has been held for 2 years and prior authority has been given by insurers. d) Hirers who have not held a full valid United Kingdom or EU driving licence for 2 years. e) Persons who have been convicted of an offence in connection with the driving of a motor vehicle or motorcycle and/or have had their driving licence endorsed or suspended or more than 6 penalty points imposed. "Spent" convictions, covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 may be disregarded.
